Add a touch of Easter to your home
Decorate your home with Easter egg balloons. It’s quick and easy – and more importantly, fun for your little ones!
All you’ll need are:
- Balloons (filled with helium if you’d like them to float)
- Thin ribbon
- Colourful markers
These are so easy to make. Just fill the balloons with helium – or blow them up yourself – and use the markers to decorate them. When you’re done, tie bunches of three and four together with the ribbon and hang them somewhere fun!
Easter exercises
Keep boredom at bay by filling a dozen plastic eggs with silly, easy-to-do tasks. Let your little ones take turns to open up an egg and complete the task inside. These tasks can be anything you like! You can even get your kids to come up with a few. Here are a few ideas to inspire you:
- 6 bunny hops
- Do the chicken danceHatch an egg
- Clean your whiskers
- Roly poly
Be an Easter bunny for a day
What’s better than getting treats from the Easter bunny? Not much. But once your little ones have their Easter egg stash, why not let them be an Easter bunny for a few hours – they might even share a chocolate or two with you!
Get your kids to make an Easter bunny bonnet with these three things:
- Paper plate
- Koki pens
- Scissors
Making an Easter bonnet is as easy as 1,2,3,4:
- Draw a pair of bunny ears inside the centre of a paper plate.
- Colour the ears in – it can be any colour your little one likes best.
- Cut around the ears and the inside rim of the plate – as in the above image.
- Fold the bunny ears out, so they sit horizontally on your little one’s head. And voila, it’s done!
Crafty ice-cream-stick chickens
Easter is a lot fun but it can take a lot out of you! These ice-cream-stick chickens will keep your little ones occupied, so you can put your feet up for a bit. All you’ll need are:
- 5 mini ice cream sticks
- Orange and yellow paper
- Cardboard piece
- Scissors/Glue
- Googly eyes
- Yellow paint
Get started by cutting out a piece of cardboard and glue it to the back of 5 ice cream sticks, sitting side-by-side. Wait for the glue to dry and then paint the ice-cream sticks yellow. Once the paint is dry, cut out cardboard beaks, feet and wings and glue them to the ice cream sticks, with googly eyes.
Get colourful
