    Healthy Lunchbox Tips

    Packing a healthy lunchbox for your little ones is key to ensuring that they stay energized and hydrated all day. We've put together a few lunchbox tips to help you ditch the sugary drinks and treats.

    Cookie Cutter Sandwiches

    What you need:

    • Cookie cutter
    • Bread
    • Sandwich filling

    Method:

    1. Prepare your sandwiches as you would normally.
    2. Using the cookie cutter, cut the sandwich into a fun shape that your kids love.
    3. Use any kind of sandwich filling that your child prefers, you can do something like cucumber sandwiches with a dash of mayonnaise. Whatever you child prefers.

    Apple and peanut butter stack

    What you need:

    • Apples
    • Peanut butter

    Method:

    1. Cut the apple into 4 pieces, cut away the core and cut the apple into slices.
    2. Spread the peanut butter onto each apple slice and stack them on top each other.

    Happy Eggs

    Eggs are a brilliant source of protein and when hard boiled, they easy to pop into a lunch box!

    What you need:

    • Hardboiled egg
    • Permanent marker

    Method:

    1. Boil your eggs until they are hard boiled (between 7 and 10 minutes)
    2. Draw a creative picture, or face or cute message for your child on the egg with the permanent marker.

    FruitMedley

    Is your little one fruit crazy? Take advantage of that and make them this healthy snack!

    What you need:

    • Apple, chopped
    • Pear, chopped
    • Grapes
    • Naartjie
    • Skewer

    Method:

    1. Place a piece of fruit on the skewer, repeating until the skewer is full.
    2. Enjoy!
