Recipe by @nourishing.niki
Ingredients:
- 4 Tetley Pure Green Tea bags
- 4 cups (1 litre) boiling water
- 1 thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- A handful of fresh mint leaves (optional)
1–2 tbsp raw honey (or maple syrup) - Pinch of Celtic salt (for electrolytes)
- Optional: pinch of turmeric or black pepper for added anti-inflammatory benefits
Method:
- Place the Tetley green tea bags in a large heatproof jug or teapot. Pour over the boiling water and let it steep for 5–7 minutes, then remove the tea bags.
- Stir in the sliced ginger, lemon, mint leaves, honey, and Celtic salt while the tea is still hot. Add turmeric or black pepper if using.
- Allow the tea to cool slightly so the flavours can infuse for 10–15 minutes. You can strain it, or leave the ingredients in for a stronger flavour over time.
- Transfer to a jar or bottle and keep in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- Reheat gently as needed, or enjoy chilled. Sip daily to stay warm, hydrated, and well this winter
