Ingredients - Syrup
2 cups Water
2 cups Castor sugar
6 - 8 bags Laager Citrus & Ginger flavoured Rooibos
1 Orange rind
1 Knob Ginger, thinly sliced
Ingredients - Board
Various fruit - dried oranges, olives, grapes, whole figs, heirloom tomatoes and nuts.
Various cheese - brie, blue cheese, goat’s cheese.
Various cold meat - salami, prosciutto, bresaola.
Various starch - bread sticks, bruschetta, pretzels, crackers, savoury biscuits.
Method
- Bring all the ingredients to the boil.
- Simmer until reduced to half.
- Sugar should be dissolved and syrup a bit thick.
To Assemble
- Place the Laager Citrus & Ginger flavoured Rooibos syrup in the centre of the board and arrange the fruit & nuts, cold meat, cheese and starch around it.
- Enjoy with some freshly brewed Laager Citrus & Ginger flavoured Rooibos tea.
