Ingredients - Laager Rooibos Spice Mix
1 TBSP Onion flakes
2 teabags Laager Rooibos (loose leaves)
1/2 TBSP Chili flakes
2 TBSP Thyme
1 tsp Rosemary
1 tsp Black pepper
1/2 tsp Salt
Ingredients - To Make Sauce
1 1/4 cup Tomato sauce
1/4 cup Brown sugar
1 TBSP Mustard
1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup Molasses
4 TBSP Apple cider vinegar
2 TBSP Rooibos spice mix
Method
- Mix all the spice ingredients with a pastel and mortar until all crushed and mixed well. Set aside.
- Combine all the sauce ingredients in a medium saucepan and stir well.
- Bring to the boil and then simmer for 20 minutes.
- Stir constantly until well blended.
- Use it to glaze the meat of your choice over the braai or baste your cooked meat.
