Ingredients
- 500ml whipping cream
- 1 cup of milk
- 6 @laagerrooibostea Tea4Kids teabags
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tin condensed milk
Method
- In a pot, heat the cream and milk until hot but don’t let it boil. Add teabags and mix in.
- Allow to steep & infuse for 5min to draw out the flavour.
- Take off the heat. Remove and squeeze out the teabags.
- Whisk together the egg yolks and condensed milk.
- Add this mixture to the warm creamy tea from the pot off the heat. Whisk well until combined.
- Pour into the dish, cover and freeze overnight.
- Take out to thaw for 5-10min and serve in tea cups for the most refreshing and nostalgic South African dessert!
