Ingredients - Flapjacks
1½ cups Flour
⅓ cup Milk
1 - 2 sachets Society Coffee Sweetened Cappuccino
250 ml Boiling water
2 TBSP Unsalted butter
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Baking soda
1 TBSP Granulated sugar
1 TBSP Brown sugar
1 Large egg
Ingredients - Cappuccino Cream
½ cup Cream
1 - 2 sachets Society Coffee Unsweetened Cappuccino
5 TBSP Vanilla Instant Pudding mixture
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tot Amarula Cream (optional)
Ingredients - Mocha Syrup
1 sachet Society Coffee Vanilla Cappuccino or Society Coffee Unsweetened Cappuccino*
118 ml Boiling water
¼ cup Cocoa powder
¼ cup Sugar + 1tbsp
1 tsp Unsalted butter
Method - Flapjacks
- Brew 1 cup of Society Coffee Unsweetened Cappuccino using 250 ml boiling water, adding milk once cooled.
- In a mixing bowl, add cooled Society Coffee Unsweetened Cappuccino, egg and butter. Mix thoroughly and set aside
- In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda.
- Add the dry mixture into the wet mixture and whisk until just combined.
- Pour ¼ cup of this mixture on to a hot griddle.
- When you see bubbles, flip your flapjack and cook the other side.
- Continue making flapjacks until the mixture is finished.
Method - Cappuccino Cream
- Brew 1 cup of Society Coffee Vanilla Cappuccino using 250 ml boiling water.
- In a small mixing bowl whisk the cream and cappuccino liquid together until dissolved.
- Add a tot of African Cream (optional).
- Add pudding mixture and whisk together until stiff peaks form
- Chill for at least 10 mins prior to serving.
Method - Mocha Syrup
- Brew 1 cup of Society Coffee Vanilla Cappuccino using 250 ml boiling water.
- Add the brewed liquid, cocoa powder and sugar to a small saucepan.
- Mix together and stir on medium heat until the mixture starts to thicken - this usually takes about 10 minutes.
- Once thickened, remove saucepan from the heat and beat in butter (and Vanilla Essence if using)
*If using Society Coffee Unsweetened Cappuccino, add 1 tsp Vanilla essence with butter
SERVING SUGGESTION
Stack flapjacks, pour over syrup and sprinkle with chocolate chips
Serve with Society Coffee Cappuccino Cream.
