Making tea with loose tea leaves

When it comes to loose leaf tea, brewing it is not as simple as it may seem. Sure there’s the tea, the water and the steeping time to consider but if you want to make every cup the best one yet, follow these easy steps: 1. Make sure your leaves are good quality! 2. Follow the instructions to measure correct amounts. Normally, it’s one teaspoon per cup. 3. Place the leaves in an infuser or teapot with a strainer in the middle. Should you not have either of these, you can steep the leaves directly in the water and strain it afterwards. 4. Boil water. Ensure that your water is at room temperature and fresh or filtered. If your leaves are green or white, bring the water to just below boiling point. If you’re making black or herbal teas, make sure that the water is boiling vigorously. 5.   • White tea – around 5 minutes.
  • Green tea – around 3 minutes.
  • Black tea – around 4 minutes.
